Handwritten letter 11/27/09

Hey Family!
So although my P-Day is Wednesday, I have an hour and a half for letters on Friday mornings because they had to schedule some service into our P-Day instead of on Friday mornings like it's suppose to be. If that makes sense.
So anyway, I have a few things to say. First of all, thanks for the package!!! It was like Christmas! All the guys were jealous of my "Fancy Lunchable". It was delicious. Oh and I forgot, thanks for the secret package you packed. I can never have enough Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
A couple days ago, me and my comp met Sister Elizabeth Smart. She bore her testimony to us about why she was serving a mission. She has a great spirit about her.
Also while I have been here I've run into a few people I know. I've talked to Breck Lewis, Jason Simons, Tyler Pugh and a few guys from school. They all seem to be doing great.
Thanksgiving was awesome! We had a devotional and Jeffery R Holland and his wife talked! That's 2 apostles in 3 days! It was way good. We also had a pretty good Thanksgiving dinner. And we did some humanitarian service project. How was Thanksgiving for you all?
Oh yeah, Sorry to hear about the Rubiks Cube. I guess Tia will have to figure out how to solve it.
There is something I want to tell you about my companion, AEldste Hansen. He is a cool guy and all, but he snores worse than anyone I have ever seen! For the first week I hardly slept at all, but I got some earplugs now so it's all good.
Umm, what else is going on?
Oh yeah, I don't want to gain 20 pounds here like Camron did, so I've been running 1 to 2 miles each day. Mom and Dad, you should be proud of that.
Well, I gotta get going.
Have a great week.
Love, Aldste Lee

Hey Family!
There are a few things that I forgot to tell you about in the email. I'm not sure when you will get this letter because of Thanksgiving and all. And that brings me to the first thing, Happy Thanksgiving!!! To me it doesn't even seem like the holidays are here. I don't even have any time to think about it. I hope you have a great Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa's place, and have a great time at the condo.
Something else that I forgot to mention is that Elder Dallin H. Oaks spoke here yesterday at a deveotional, (and his wife). It was way good. This might surprise you, I sang in the choir for it. We sang my favorite hymn, Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.
So how is everyone doing? Is everybody getting by without me? Are Jerry and Trent getting excited for their missions? I know that they will both do great.
Well, I miss you all, sometimes. I don't have very much time to even think about home. I was thinkin today that I am around 1/104th of the way done with my mission already! ha ha. I'l be home in no time!
Well, tell everyone hi, and tell them I miss them. Have a great Thanksgiving and a great week!
Jeg elsker dig!
Love, AEldste Lee

First letter from the MTC!

Hey Family! And everyone else who might read this message!! I bet you spent this last week wondering if I was still alive. My P-Day is on Wednesday, so that is when I will be sending mail. So to save time, I think I will send you a message about what has been going on, and then you can post it on the blog or whatever. And also, make sure you post a link to the blog on my facebook or something. Alrighty, The first week at the MTC has been great! It is a ton of hard work, but the spirit is always so strong here. I am amazed at how much I have already learned. In the short time I have been here, I have already learned a ton about the lessons, and my Danish is coming along. I can already bear my testimony, pray, and introduce myself, along with a few other phrases in Danish! Mom, your Danish is coming along nicely too. But I'll bet anything you pronounce it wrong. 'Jeg elsker dig' is not pronounced like Jeg elsker dig. It is pronounced more like 'Yai elskeh die' My companion is a cool guy. His name is Aeldse Hansen. He is from Portland Oregon. And the rest of my district is awesome. Our district is only 4 people, and we are all going to Denmark. The other 2 guys are Aeldste Shreeve and Aeldste Van Nevel. They are all really cool and we have already grown really close. My first meal at the MTC was one that I will never forget. I had turkey and potatoes and gravy. I will never forget it because after I got all my food, I dropped my tray on the ground and everything shattered and got all over the ground. I got potatoes all over my pants and shoes... How's that for a first meal? The food for the most part is pretty good though. Last night I had the opportunity to help with a blessing. Aeldste Van Nevel fell off his bed a few days ago (top bunk) and hurt his leg. He has been limping ever since, so he asked us to give him a blessing. I did the annointing, and Aelste Shreeve, our district leader, sealed the annointing and gave him a blessing. It was a great opportunity. Oh yeah, on Friday we went to the Referal Center, where people call in for the free book of mormon or dvd or whatever. So I talked with a few people there. It was way cool. I'm excited to go back there. Well I'm getting short on time so I'll finish this up. I miss you all. Tell the family hi. And mom, don't worry too much about me, I'm doing fine. Alrighty, Have a great week! Jeg elsker dig!!! Love Aeldste Lee
