Hi Everyone!

Hey there everybody!!

How's it going?! I'm doing good over here in Denmark. I think that this past week has been the fastest one yet! It is crazy how fast time is going! It's nearly may already!
Well, zones conference was really good. We didn't take the train this time. The Fredrikshavn elders have a car and they picked us up and drove us over there to Copenhagen. It was a cool drive. The snow is all gone and all the fields are green now. There is a ton of beautiful scenery everywhere. And at one point we crossed a huge bridge that goes all the way from Fyn til Sjælland, which is a long way. The ride back wasn't nearly as enjoyable though, because we had 5 elders crammed into a tiny European car with all of there bags and everything. Anyway, we all met at the church in Copenhagen on Friday for the Conference. All of the Danish Missionaries were there, and the Icelandic Missionaries were there with us on Skype. Basically at a zone conference what happens is we hear some talks and trainings from the Mission President, his wife, the Assistants, and whoever else, and there are some musical numbers and lunch and stuff. It was good. There were supposed to be two members of the 70 speaking at it but they weren't able to come because of the Volcano. So that was a bummer. But there was someone else cool that came and sang for us. It was Jesus! The actor who played Jesus in the Testaments, and Finding Faith in Christ movies. He is actually Danish, he is in one of the wards here. He went up there and started singing, and the whole time I was just thinking, I know I've seen that guy before. But I couldn't figure it out. But afterwards I was told that it was the actor who played Jesus.
Some other things that I've done this week; Me and Christensen have been singing in the ward choir. That has been fun. We sang a song in Sacrament Meeting on Sunday. Herrens Tempel. It was fun. There there aren't many people in the choir, maybe 10 or so, so I had to sing extra loud.
Last P-day, after emailing, we went to a place called Lindholm Høj. It is the biggest Viking graveyard in all of Denmark. It was pretty cool. There are tons of boulders laying around in little formations where the vikings are buried. It was pretty cool. I'll attach a couple pics from there.
Yesterday, we had an appointment with a guy in Løkken. Løkken is a city that is way out in the outskirts of our area, and we had to take a bus for about an hour and a half to get there. It is right along the beach, so after our appointment we stopped by the beach real quick and got some pictures. It was way windy, and the sand was just slamming against us. We had sand all over us for the rest of the day.

So you got a picture from Elder Clayton's Mom? I'll attach one that I took too. I'll just attach a whole bunch of pictures to this email.
I'm glad you like the dance we did. I think we did an alright job. Yeah, I have lost some weight while I've been here. I've actually had to punch and extra hole in my belt.
Vince told me that you have sent him some messages. That's cool. Hopefully he had some good things to say about me. Vince is a way cool guy. We have really become good friends while I've been here.
That is cool that the Jazz are doing so good in the Playoffs! I used to keep up on the Jazz a lot when me and Dalton were together, cuz he is completely obsessed, but since Christensen, I haven't heard anything. I hope they continue to do good. And hopefully even beat the Lakers!
Thats cool that Scotty has finished up some BYU and is back in Cali again. Yeah, he sends me a message every once in a while. He told me that he is hopeing to get his mission papers in sometime in May. I'm way excited to hear where he is gonna go!
Well, I hope that all of those picture attachments work. I attached quite a few of them. A quick explanation about the last one; I did something completely crazy, that I would have never before done, but the European style is really getting to me. I bought some white skinny jeans, a V-neck undershirt, and a crazy flamboyant shirt. Whoah! There is a picture of it. I didn't get those same pants, I got some a little less skinny, but yeah, that is one of my new outfits.
Well, I'm gonna wrap this one up. Thanks for all your prayers and support. Say an extra special prayer today as it is our day for the fast. I love you and miss you. See ya!

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about the mothers day situation. Because we have an Ægtepar here in Aalborg with a computer, we will be able to use Skype! Cool huh! So that will be fun! I'm not sure the specific details or anything, but just make sure you have a Skype and send me the account. When is the best time for you. We are 8 hours ahead, so we could do it in the evening here and it would be morning or noon there. Anyway, I'll figure more out and let you know.

Min Lille Smørblomst‏

Hey Everyone!

I have now passed my 5 month mark! Whoah! Next month is the big 6 months!

Well, another great week down. We have really been seeing a lot of little miracles during this month of miracles (and also some really big ones) I told you wrong about our date for fasting. We have actually already had our day, you missed out, sorry. Nah just kidding. :) It is on the 28th. That's cool that you will fast with us. Thanks!

Yeah, the volcano has been affecting Denmark a lot. They said that there was a lot of ash in the sky the other day, but I couldn't tell the difference between the clouds that are always here anyway. But flights here are all getting cancelled. It's really making Celina nervous, because she is supposed to be flying back to China on Saturday to visit her family, and to get her 4 year old daughter and bring her back here. She is scared that she won't be able to go. Yeah, so Celina is from China obviously. I think I told you about her in an earlier letter. She is definitely our most positive investigator. She's 32. We have been meeting with her at the church and teaching her like 4 or 5 times a week. And she has really been progressing. She loves meeting with us and likes coming to church and she's really getting to know a lot of the ward members and getting to be friends with them. Last night we met with her and said goodbye to her one last time before she leaves, and she said that she is usually really excited to go back to China, but not this time. Because she will miss the missionaries and the ward members so much. Also she told us that when she comes back with her daughter, she wants to bring her daughter to primary. She is so close to baptism.

The talent show went really well! It was fun! The ward really liked my Airtap guitar stuff I did. They also really liked our dance that we did. That is usually something that I would never do, but it was pretty fun.

Hopefully Tia is liking her new glasses. I want to see a picture. You apparently forgot to attach one. That is good that she isn't getting headaches so much anymore. I have been doing pretty good not getting headaches. I have had a couple, but not too bad. I actually had the worst one on my mission yesterday. We were out all day and we did some service and stuff, and I just didn't get much water. So I had a pretty bad headache last night. Other than that though, it hasn't been a problem. But speaking of health problems, Elder Shreeve is in the Hospital! They think he has Apendicitis (however its spelled) So hopefully everthing with that goes well.

The next few days should be pretty fun. We are going to Copenhagen for combined zones conference. Were leaving tomorrow afternoon, staying friday, and coming home saturday morning. It will be a fun little trip. Its always fun when we meet with other missionaries, and we are going to meet with all of the missionaires in Denmark! It'll be fun seeing everyone. And at the conference, there is going to be a member of the 70 coming to talk to us.

I don't really know anything about how the Mother's Day call will work out. I'll try to get some info about it during this next week and tell you about it next week. I'm excited to talk to you all, and hopefully Camron can make it down. Oh and I didn't know that Camron and Rurika are back together! That's cool!

Well, I don't have much time today, so I have to get going. I have one other email that I have to write. Have a great week, and I'll talk to ya soon!

Month of Miracles, going strong!

Hey everybody! How's it going? This week has been good. It has really flown by. It's crazy that it has already been another week! During the week, I usually carry around a little notebook, and write down things every once in awhile that I want to include in my email home. Because usually I forget what happens. But today I forgot to bring the notebook that I wrote things down in, so I'll just do my best to remember what happened this week.
Sorry if I gave you a little scare with that last email. It wasn't really a big deal, what happened with the drunk guys. They were so drunk, that me and Elder Christensen could have easily beat them up if we needed to. It makes a pretty good story though. ;)
You asked about David. Yeah we met with him again. We walked all the way across the street to his apartment. ;) It went really well, and the miracle story got even better! We went over there, and first of all, he has a way cool apartment. He is an artist, and he has paintings all over the place, and he also really likes music! He plays guitar and stuff, so me and him can really relate. Anyway, we went there and taught him about the plan of salvation and some more about the restoration. He had already read the introduction to the Book of Mormon and he asked us a lot of questions about it. At one point he told us more about when he ran into us and how he doesn't think it was just by chance. A few months ago, David started wondering if there more to life, and started looking for something more. His friend gave him a book about our spiritual existence, and he had just read a chapter about how everything has a purpose, when he ran into us on the street. So a couple days later, his friend that gave him the book called him up randomly. He told her about these two missionaries that he met, and she told him that he should keep talking to us and see what we are about. Well, after he hung up, who are the next two people that he runs into? The missionaries! Crazy! Anyway near the end of our lesson with him, we asked what he thought about the plan of salvation. He said he thought it was cool but he didn't believe it. We told him that we aren't here to convince people that it is true, we are just here to invite people to pray about it. We talked to him about the holy ghost, and he asked us, what does the Holy Ghost feel like? Is it like love, and warmth. Yup exactly! Anyway, he asked us what chapters in the Book of Mormon have helped us to get that answer. So we wrote down 4 or 5 of our favorite chapters for him to read. Anyway, we've got high hopes for David in this Month of Miracles. Well, I wrote a bit more than I thought I would about him, but I think it is a good story. I'll get back to the rest of my email now.
Oh I also want to mention Celina too. Yesterday when we met with her, she told us that she always hated Denmark. She has lived her for several years. She said she was never happy here, until she met us missionaries! Now she says she really likes Denmark. Oh, and also, she is going to be in the ward talent show on Friday! I don't know if I told you about the talent show or not. We are having a talent show Friday, and I'm gonna show off some of my air tap skills. Also, my companion dragged into another performance. We are gonna do the My Little Buttercup dance from the 3 Amigos. :/

Well, it was fun to hear all the news from back home. That is crazy that Jansen is getting his drivers license! I'm glad that I'm thousands of miles away from his driving. That is also great to hear about Shane. Hopefully I'll be able to see him at my homecoming.
The morning running is going well. I haven't quit yet. It's definitely better running around outside, than just running around in circles in the gym. I still don't enjoy running at all, and I don't understand how you people enjoy it. I just do it for exercise purposes.
That's fine that you don't send much snail mail. It's just so convenient being able to email instantly. I don't get a ton of mail, but I have a few good friends that have been writing pretty frequently. It's always fun getting a letter from back home.
Oh yeah I wanted to tell you, during the past 2 weeks, I've bought 7 ties! I'm planning on beating Camron's record of all the ties that he brought back.
Anyway, that's all I've got for you this time. I miss you all! Have a great week!

I got mugged by two drunk guys....

Hey There!

Yup, so I had an exciting experience with a couple of drunk Danes. Don't worry though, mom, everything is fine. Here is the storry. So, we were walking home after an appointment, and two way drunk guys stopped us and saw our nametags, and then they asked us if we were Jesus. We said, no, we are missionaries from the church of Jesus Christ. And then we talked to them for a bit, and then one of them was like, 'you will give us all your money!' in a way slurred voice. And then he just kept saying that, and he grabbed Elder Christensen's collar and told him to give him his money. Anyway, after that, the two drunk guys just started fighting each other and wobbled off into traffic, so we left. So yeah, that was a pretty fun adventure we had.

Well, other than that, this has been a really good week. We've started the Month of Miracles, and we have already had a pretty cool Miracle experience. I'll tell you about that now. We had an appointment with a guy named Michael, but we were pretty sure that he would burn us, and yeah, he did. So we decided to go visit a less active member. We pulled out the less active list, and chose one that was close to where we were at, and we started walking there. We were on a street that we have never been before, but happened to be there this one day. On that street, we ran into this guy named David. We started talking to him and he told us that is is actually pretty weird that he ran into us, because he had been reading a book about religion and was looking for religion. So we talked to him for about 20 minutes or so there on the street and told him about the restoration and the Book of Mormon. He said he wants to talk with us more, and he gave us his phone number and we gave him a book of mormon. And then just today, we were planning on calling him later, but just outside the library we ran into him again and talked to him for a few minutes. We found out that he lives on Herluf Trolles Gade! Which if you remember, is where I live! He lives across the street from us. How crazy is that?! Anyway, that was a little cool experience. Hopefully things will go well with him, and we will see more miracles in this month of miracles.

Yeah, conference was good. We watched the saturday morning and sunday morning sessions live (but it was 6 pm for us) It was cool, cuz I was thinking, 'right now I'm doing the exact same thing that my family is doing'. We also watched the saturday afternoon, and priesthood sessions on Sunday. And we weren't able to see the last session yet. It was good, and I liked watching it. I stayed awake for most of it. Oh, and I watched the first session in Danish, but after that I decided it was probably best to watch it in English, so I watched the rest in English. It was good to hear from the Prophet and the Apostles. Also, Celina came to one of the sessions. She said she enjoyed it, and she really liked the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Saturday was Elder Christensens Birthday. We went to a bakery and got some delicious bread and pastries. And in the evening, we met with the Jepsons and with Celina and had some way good mexican food, and some delicious cake. And Celina gave Christensen some dark chocolate caramel frogs that were way good. We ate a ton of them, but then discovered that they had alcohol in them... Oops.

Yeah that is really cool that Elder Christensen is related to the Halls. And that is cool that you talked with his mom and that you are planning on getting together with her sometime. That'll be fun. It's a small world, isn't it?

It was really sad that the young girl died. Her name is Anne-Dorte. She commited suicide. She had been struggling for a few years with depression. But it was really unexpected. Her mom and brother have had a hard time, but they have a lot of support and they seem to be doing ok. It was way hard for her mom, because 3 years ago her husband died, and 2 years ago her other daughter died of cancer. And now her other daughter died. So it is hard, but they are doing well.

Of course I know who Mickey Rooney is! It was fun to meet his son, and to hear about all that he and his dad have done. He told us that his dad, Mickey, is now 90 years old and still acting! That's pretty impressive. I got a video of Jimmy Rooney doing some of his voices. It's pretty funny.

Hahahaha, that is funny that it snowed a ton again! That must've been a fun April Fool's Joke. haha. So now its actually better weather where I am than it is there! Whoah! It is actually pretty warm now. Today it is 12 degrees Celsius, which is over 50 degrees farenheit, and the sun is shining and everything. It is great!

Well, have a great week. Don't worry about not sending an Easter package. It is fine, and I didn't even have time to think about not getting one, so it's not a big deal. I did send off a letter home though yesterday. It has my byu stuff, and letters to Tani and Tia, cuz they wrote me letters. Anyway, I'll talk to ya later. I love you too.
